A few weeks back I got a last minute call from Jim at ESPN the Magazine to take a quick 20 hour trip to Detroit to shoot the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks game. The story was to focus on the “original six” rivalry between the two teams and would accompany a story in the upcoming rivalries issue. Here is my view of the game, sadly there were no fights, bloodshed or even a simple riot in the street.
